For the purposes of UK data protection law we are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy. That means we decide what information is collected and how it is used.

This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use our website or contact us, why we collect it, what we do with it, how long we keep it, and what rights you have.

3. Information we collect
Information you give us. When you complete our enquiry form we ask for your name, email address, telephone number, a subject line and, if you choose to provide it, a message about your project. If you contact us by telephone, email, WhatsApp or social media we will hold whatever information you choose to share with us in the course of that contact.
Information about your project. If your enquiry progresses, we may hold further details such as the address of the property, drawings or photographs you send us, and notes taken during a survey or site visit.
Information collected automatically. If you consent to analytics cookies, we collect information about how you use our website, such as the pages you view, how you arrived at the site and roughly where in the world you are. This information does not identify you by name. If you do not consent, this information is not collected.
Our enquiry form is protected by Google reCAPTCHA, which checks that submissions are made by a person rather than an automated system.
4. Why we use your information, and our lawful basis
We only use your personal information where the law allows us to. The table below sets out what we use it for and on what basis.

Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything we have already done on the basis of that consent before it was withdrawn.
5. Photographs of completed work
We often photograph finished projects. We will not publish photographs which identify a client, or which show the inside of a private home in a way that could identify the property, unless we have asked you and you have agreed. If you have previously agreed and later change your mind, contact us and we will remove the images from our website and social media accounts. We may not be able to recover material that has already been shared or reposted by others.
6. Who we share your information with
We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing purposes.
We share information only where it is necessary, with:
– our website and hosting provider, who maintains this website on our behalf
– Google, which provides the analytics and anti-spam tools used on this website
– our accountants, and where required our professional advisers
– suppliers and subcontractors where they need the information to carry out work on your project, and then only what they need
– anyone we are required to share it with by law, or to establish or defend a legal claim
Where another organisation processes personal information on our behalf, we require them to do so only on our instructions and to keep it secure.
7. Storage and international transfers
Your information is stored on systems within the United Kingdom and the European Economic Area wherever possible. Some of the services we use, including Google’s, may process information outside the UK. Where that happens, appropriate safeguards recognised under UK data protection law are in place.

When we no longer need your information we delete it or make it anonymous.
9. Keeping your information secure
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. Our website uses a secure connection, access to our systems is restricted to those who need it, and information is held on reputable business platforms. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of information sent to us before it reaches us.
10. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
– ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you
– ask us to correct information which is inaccurate or incomplete
– ask us to delete your information, in certain circumstances
– ask us to restrict how we use your information, in certain circumstances
– object to our using your information where we rely on legitimate interests
– ask us to transfer your information to another organisation, in certain circumstances
– withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on consent

11. Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal information, please tell us first and we will do our best to put it right.
